Tragedy

Just read the deaths recorded on this tombstone- heart-breaking.

It has been a generally lazy day. John, Ali, Michael and James were out early to climb Penyfan - one of those things that  just has to be done! I resisted,  Later in the day we all went out for a walk cluttering the narrow lanes around here but good fun.  We aimed for the church at Merthyr Cynog where I spent some time reading the tombstones - such tragedy and heartache written here of families losing several young children.

We made it 'home' - I think I was last in - but it is a very steep climb up the road - and have had a lovely evening with a meal together and now a game of something ridiculous at which I will be absolutely hopeless!
