Rallying

Our car was entered into a navigational rally today, organised by Club Triumph in memory of the former club chairman. With my ongoing sight issues, I haven't driven since last November but I'm also not really very useful for map reading right now (some would say I wasn't before now!). Anyway, our solution was to invite Annie's brother down to navigate as a lover of maps and challenges. We had an early start to be in Stevenage for 9am. There was then a lot of instructions that had to be translated into the route on the map before they could set off. The blip shows Annie and David hard at work at this stage (along with other teams). Eventually everyone got underway and whilst they did around 80 miles of twisting country roads, I walked from the start in Stevenage to the end point in Old Knebworth a couple of miles away. Thankfully a lovely day for it. We're awaiting the final results.

Rosie is back from Exeter uni for Easter and joined us this evening from a proper good catch up!
