Rooftops

We went to Worcester today. Yes I know we were there yesterday but today was not a family meet but just an us two day.  Having said that we nearly met up with Jo and Emily and nearly went to Worcester Woods to see Emma and Rafferty, neither of which happened. What we did do was visit the Royal Worcester Museum, an excellent display of Worcester Porcelain over the years from its founding in 1751 to modern times.  The museum is next door to GoodRoots Cafe, so convenient for lunch when we came out of the museum.

After lunch we took a walk along the canal to the Commandery where we had coffee in their garden.  Part of the formal gardens behind the Commandery is given over to wild flowers.  There were white and blue bluebells,  cowslip and another flower we couldn't identify, see extras, all very nice along with the blossom on the trees.

We then took a walk back to the marina and to the river, stopping off at the Diglis Hotel where we had a drink in their garden overlooking the water.

The picture is taken from one of the museum's windows.  The cathedral tower is visible from most of central Worcester.  I like the contrast of roofs here, and there is a bonus flying gull!
