Raven on Marwick Head

I started at the bird-hide at The Loons. An RSPB staffer was there and she pointed out a water rail. I spotted a peregrine hunting over the reed-beds.
I walked to Marwick and along to the stone fishermans' huts. Normally I'd only sit ther when getting out of the rain, and it was sunny today but the wind was very strong and spray-laden, so it was to get out of it for a while. I hoped to get my first great skua of speing, but still no luck. There was, however, still a glaucous gull at Marwick. On the clifftop I sat and hoped the raven from the nearby tower would come down and visit. He did. You can see how the wind was blowing.
