The Screaming Tunnel

Ticked a lot of the Whitby boxes today.

Fortified by a big breakfast we went up the 199 steps again to the Abbey. After that it was a first visit to the nearby, and a bit bonkers, St Mary’s. A walk back through the donkey paths then over to the West Cliff for a meander before emerging via the Screaming Tunnel and onto Church Street. A coffee and a cake then off to the Magpie Cafe for a short wait in the queue before top quality scran and a window seat.

Lots of walking, lots of sea air and lots of food. Should sleep well tonight.
