Pollard

Walk past this tree most days, but the sky was nice on this day, and with spring starting to spring I thought I'd take a picture of it. Trees are pollarded like mad in France, and this example is in someone's garden, and as you can see it's been pretty heavily trimmed over the years. I'm not convinced I like it, it's also a lot of effort as the tree needs trimming every year or so...
