Great tit

D. and I sat on our terrace and suddenly we saw a great tit lying closer to our house. Obviously she just passed away. Whether she flew against one of our windows, or something else happened we don't know.
Her partner didn't seem to understand what happened and came over and over to look after her. From a little distance, but surprisingly the fear for us was not stopping him. He didn't look too happy, as though he was mourning.
We gave him time till sunset, when I finally buried the little body. Her partner was still around, but at least singing again.
