Gorse Flare

In between Ormiston and Pencaitland is a nice wee place to stop if you just want to get out the car and wander through trees and get some fresh air for twenty minutes. Ordnance Survey refers to this place as 'Black Wood'; the sign at the entrance calls it 'WoodHall'. I prefer Black Wood - it suggest a history of perfidy. We went for a wee walk round it this evening after tea.

I'm enjoying these light evenings.
