On the road again

Back on the bike today after three weeks and I had missed not only the riding but also the lunchtime tales and tall stories they are a good bunch of guys. Having done 160 kms today my new tyres are bedded in and planning for an overnight ride is well in hand.

The Blip is just outside Tapawera overlooking a field of Hop Poles and there are thousands of them and they 3 metres tall. Having not ridden for three weeks I missed the harvest and Hops are now turned into pellets and shipped all over the world so that beer you consume could very well have Hops from Nelson NZ.
There is a pub in Enfield, UK that is called The Hop Poles and it is said to be haunted! To hear the Hop Poles ghost listen here!
