Grey Heron

The young one was waiting for me on top of the dovecote. She flew down to the entrance to the park as soon as she saw me. She had most of her fish but seemed unsettled (not surprising really as there was a lot of traffic yards away). She took off but instead of flying towards the nest she flew to the left! I guessed she was heading for her safe spot at the drainage area to get the rest of her fish, She got the lot then headed to the nest area.
This afternoon I gave her Whitebait which she ate and then few to the nest. She always looks a bit of a mess in the afternoon as you can see from the extra!
