Want pollinators? Forget wildflowers, grow weeds

Just picked up a May copy of Gardeners World and read this. It goes onto say that University researchers have found that pollinators are 4 times more likely to visit Ragwort, thistle and dock than pollinator friendly wildflowers - but aren’t they all wildflowers? Perhaps someone out there knows?
The May issue includes a 241 garden entry ticket for 392 gardens and 6 packets of seeds. First of the year butterfly photo in the garden today - the forget me not on the drive was proving popular
