Re cycling

At 3am I discovered that Cheltenham Race Course grandstands and hospitality tents were fully lit ahead of the Easter race meeting later today. I can only imagine there are security reasons for all those lights? Who knows?

What I do know is that nocturnal wildlife is disturbed by all those unnecessary lux infiltrating the Cotswolds’ dark skies.

Hedgehogs are part of that disturbed wildlife. I saw one on the road as I drove home. The national speed limit applies to this road. In the middle of the night I drive at half that speed. This morning that tactic saved this hedgehog as it safely avoided my car’s tyres.

Later, I took my trusty two tyred steed out for a spin. I have had this bicycle since 1996!

My younger sister and husband called in this afternoon. It is so good to be able to meet up much more regularly now.
