Culloden wall

Really interesting visitors' centre has been built at Culloden. This wall has one brick sticking out for each person killed on the battlefield:. 1,550, of which about 50 were Government and the rest Jacobite.

Turns out there was a namesake of mine on the Jacobite side. He wasn't killed but was sent to the West Indies as a slave with many other Highlanders, as part of the subsequent clearances.
