It was a good Good Friday.

We were up and about early this morning. The weather was good which meant the countryside on this holiday Friday could be quite busy. Darren’s not one for crowds or crowded places so as well as being out early he went to a location he knew would probably only have locals walking about.
We went to two locations, though they were very close together, both south of stocksbridge, both in the Peak District.
Darren was right too, it was very quiet on both walks, especially the second one which the photo shows.
Bolsterstone is where we parked for second walk, it’s only a tiny village with church and a pub but it as some great walks with some stunning views.
