Run to Mount Caburn

I've been running over the South Downs for nearly 30 years, but never on Mount Caburn before.

It's hardly a mount, just 480 ft high, and is rather cut off from the main South Downs range (probably why I've never run there before now). Nevertheless, it is very prominent when seen from the A27 trunk road (visible at the bottom of the picture) and a very steep climb from most directions.

Today was a beautiful, sunny, spring day.
Once away from the road, at times, the only company I had were the skylarks and an effortlessly gliding buzzard. Very special indeed.
