ORNC at dusk

Had an optician's appointment this morning (I now qualify for free NHS eye-tests, apparently), my first for over six years - I had planned to go a couple of years ago, but the COVID-19 pandemic boshed that idea, and it's taken me until now to get round to it.

The diagnosis was that my distance vision had not deteriorated (if anything it had slightly improved), but my close-up vision had changed. So I need a new pair of varifocals. I got Helen to come along and help me choose spectacle frames.

Later on, Orla and I walked down to Greenwich and back along the riverside past the Old Royal Naval College, stopping for a drink in the Cutty Sark Tavern.
