Caltha Palustris

Marsh Marigold is a member of the buttercup family. The vibrant yellow flowers grow best in muddy, rich humus soils in wetlands and along the edges of streams, rivers and ponds.

This little plant is growing at the edge of the very small pond in Greenbank Gardens. Plenty of children around this morning enjoying the National Trust Easter Egg hunt and other Easter related activities.
