The Hebrides

A beautiful 2.5 hour boat trip from Ullapool yesterday out to Stornaway in Lewis. The sea was like glass as we quietly made our way out of Loch Broom into the Minch. We sailed past the Summer isles basking in a weak sun, past various sea birds floating in the water and into the harbour. An interesting trip to our accomadation as we negotiated instructions in English but road signs in Gaelic (more to follow).
We went for a brisk walk on Northton beach (pictured) with a sky which promised rain in a short while. The sea was a beautiful blue green but oh so cold. A snug night in.
The extra is Ullapool as we left port.
