The View from Coleton Fishacre

Coleton Fishacre was the holiday home of the D’Oyley Carte family. Sailing past this valley , just like the photo,  they decided this was the place to build a holiday retreat, quarried from the rock. They moved in in 1926. Now it belongs to the National Trust, and we went there with the grandchildren for traditional Easter egg hunting. The birdwatcher was hunting the Peregrine Falcons which hang out  on the cliffs at the bottom. We were lucky to see two resting and in flight.  One in extra - The bird of the day.
