Doom

Long day.  Great company.  Too much to explain in one blip.

This is from a church consecrated in 1060 where the font (extra) dates from 1055! The Blip is a medieval painting in red ochre of a skeleton holding an hour glass, spade and scythe.  This is a Doom figure displayed to remind worshippers their days are numbered and to use them wisely!

It was a wonderful gem of architecture and history - well worth the challenging route of very narrow lanes in a not-so-narrow motorhome!
