A Good Day to Fledge

This morning the three Carolina Chickadee chicks were being noisily encouraged by mom and dad to leave the comfort and safety of their nest box. I sat a respectful distance from all this drama, waiting to get shots of them joining their parents. I finally got hungry, went inside to grab lunch, after which I went back to my 'blind' chair in time to get this photo of one parent delivering a tasty morsel while the other was on bodily waste removal detail. I sat for a while more then went to the gym for less than an hour...Apparently just enough time for the kids to fledge. Oh well! I'm happy for this little family and wish them well. I'm sure I'll see them around the yard! :)
