Fothergilla

No petals, just a brush-like cluster of stamens. I think they look like rabbit tails. I saw them first in a friend's garden a few years ago, and then again Saturday while walking with I. on campus. Had lunch with her there - at a cafeteria with a large hydroponic set-up, so maybe they grow their own salad? - and brought her home for the weekend.
