Canal Filth

Woken up after midnight by the boat listing alarmingly. I got dressed and staggered out. Another boat owner had the same idea. WE got to the loch down canal and some idiot (or malicious person) had left the paddles up, i.e the "pond" -the bit of canal between two locks was running out of water (gates leak).

We closed them and walked up to the higher locks and let a lot of water through to restore the levels. Danger averted but it could have been quite serious.

In the morning back to Marina. Stopping a few times where I had to remove rubbish from the propeller (on the way there I had picked up an whole anorak and later a pair of curtains.). The photo is rubbish from the way back. There are still too many plastic bags around
