Danger in the garden

A feeding male blackbird was pounced on by a neighbours cat whilst I was watching through the window. I rushed out to scare it off but we thought the blackbird was badly injured. Pleased to say it appeared again today, looking rather bedraggled. I found this pile of feathers  this morning so obviously damage was done.
