Just after sunrise when I walked down to the main cottage, my brother in law made me aware of the pair of cranes taking mating steps on the lake ice. I fetched my camera and managed to capture the most active part of the proceedings. Three shots are included - the main blip is the first one and the extras the next two steps. It was over in a few seconds.
