It's time to clear out the last of the previous year's produce to prepare for the new season's planting. Not my garden, sadly, but my mother's. 

My exceedingly generous mother who plies me with so much fresh produce, I'm stuck for what to do with it.

Luckily, this recipe for carrot and parsnip chutney presented itself. Not only is the chutney delicious, it gave me the opportunity to try out my beautiful coppery maslin pan for the first time. I am delighted to say, it works a treat.
