New Leaves

This morning had a 4 mile local walk from home. It’s not exactly an adventure in a new place, but with the major road works nearby, the route is constantly changing. A promised new path through the valley is still not open so still some more urban walking. Unexpectedly passed a houses with a full size Dr Who Tardis/police box in a garden and a herd of dear on a grass verge. It was nice to walk in the woods here again and see what appears to be a a new lake being constructed. Every walk now seems to bring something new. Today, mustard garlic (Jack-o-the-hedge), bluebells beginning to show well and the leaves of the hornbeam trees opening. Also a few butterflies - peacock, speckled wood, brimstone and a small white. My blip shows the new leaves on one of the hornbeam trees.
