Acts of deliberate notice

Another brick

It was warm and sunny today. Somehow in the last few days the trees seem to have exploded with colour and life. There is greenery everywhere I look.

On my walk today I found that the Canada Geese have a new batch of turmeric-coloured children. They were huddled under a parent's wing, sheltering from the sun and from nosy passers-by with their cameras...

Instead, as I returned home, the colours and textures of a wall I have passed hundreds of times suddenly struck me with how beautiful they are. It can be the smallest, most insignificant things, but when we stop to really see the world around us, those tiny things become so much bigger.
