Anatole's blips

5 miles from home - Scottish Coastal Rowing

Not me taking the photo - I was too busy rowing. This is something like the halfway mark, where I am thinking it has been an awful long time since I rowed a boat at racing pressure for more than 2km. As the mental clock runs, the next 2000m were achingly slow, the 2000m after that went like greased lightning. At the end, the hour it took seemed to have passed remarkably quickly. The mind works in strange ways when the body is under pressure.

Extra shows the exhausted crew!
