Coot or moorhen?

This nest seemed very vulnerable in the middle of the local pond. However, if it was nearer to the edge it would be a temptation for land based predators so perhaps she made the right decision.
I couldn’t see any red on the bird so does that mean it is a coot? I am never sure.which is which.
It has been a sunny day and there were many fishermen on the banks.
