Natural dyes

My friend joined me for drop off this morning so that we could carry on together to a natural dyes workshop in a community owned forest. What a fantastic and inspirational day, a group of women together in the woods surrounding a fire pit, boiling up botanical potions and stirring in silks. I made a beautiful pink silk scarf for S dyes with black currant and a drawstring bag. I felt like we were in a witches coven, it was brilliant. This afternoon has been warm and sunny so S and I have made our own daisy and dandelion potions in the garden, minus the fire. As I’m sat uploading my blip, a blue tit is investigating the Fritillaria imperialis in front of the window.
