A rather nice letter

Not quite as exciting as the past fortnight but today did a bit of aeroplane spotting from my hotel window. Went to a mall with some of the others and now back in the Sonesta hotel and put a load of washing in the hotel laundromat!
Called Marlane, late evening in UK.
Last night I noticed the Union Flag, outside the hotel, was upside down. I left a written note on the desk of the concierge and this morning I found the attached letter in my room. It is from the chief engineer of the hotel. I rang him to say thank you, I thought it was rather nice of him to do that.
It was good service, and on HM the Queen's birthday too.
