Pont Gludo

One of only eight remaining in the World apparently. Built in 1906 and designed by Ferdinand Arnodin, a French engineer, the Newport transporter Bridge is a landmark on the young city's skyline. Today was the first time I have ever seen the bridge from this bank of the River Usk. I have passed it on many occasions on the other side, but as it is on a busy dual carriage way there is no opportunity to actually stop and admire it. That looks some climb to the aerial walkway above, which I believe can be crossed on certain days of the year..
