Memory games

Mrs. K. and I are both in our eighties and still enjoying life. Every day is a bonus as they say.
We would like it to continue for as long as we can.
So in addition to our daily walks and ten minutes Tai Chi after breakfast, we have started playing daily memory games.
These consist of naming things for each letter of the alphabet. It began with all the States of the USA. There are four beginning with A and none with B. We take it in turns to name them all the way throughto V.
This morning it was flowering plants from Aster toZinnia. Useful that I had recently blipped Quince.
Then there are countries (easy) and rivers (not so easy). We can go onto poets and novelists and many more.
Does anyone else do things like this or are we eccentric ? Anyway it is fun and useful for the General Knowledge crosswords !
