Our National Bard

Robert (Rabbie) Burns. Not to be mistaken for Rabbi Burns who flies into a rage every time somebody quotes "Wee, sleekit, cowrin, tim’rous beastie, O, what a panic’s in thy breastie!" at him.

Any how, back to the nub. As the low battery warning sounded on his 'Aye' pad he struggled to find a rhyme for 'Aberfeldy'.

"Ah, feck it !" he thought, and went with...

Bony lassie, will ye go,
Will ye go, will ye go;
Bony lassie, will ye go
To the birks of Aberfeldy.

For those unfamiliar with the Birks of Aberfeldy it is a pleasing woodland walk with waterfalls and wildlife (spotted my first Kingfisher there, not that it heightens the narrative, more just background you understand. Filler if you will.)
.
I have a fondness for Aberfeldy, spent many weeks there as a child, my father (almost single handed if he were to be believed) built a secondary school there.

Have a good weekend. (That is not a wish, tis an instruction).
