Just stop oil

Just Stop Oil (Norwegian: Stop oljeletingen) is a global campaign headed by Extinction Rebellion.

The campaign has two demands: stop looking for new oil and gas fields, ensure a just transition for workers in the industry to other jobs.

New oil discovered now, won't be extracted for 5-10 years, and therefore a field will be producing well into the 2050s. Humanity has already found more than enough oil and gas to far exceed our remaining carbon budget.
