Sunshine and violets

The sun was shining from a beautiful blue sky again today. N went walking with a few of the cousins while I chose to stay at home with Bertie. He had been very tired after the exercise and excitement of the beach visit the day before so we thought it best to give him a quiet day to recover. While having a gentle wander in the afternoon, we came across these very pretty violets which were also enjoying the sunshine.
