It's a Black & White Day

I love b/w photography and trying out different ways to get a strong result full of detail and mood.  I bought these roses a few days ago 'reduced' as they were past their peak.  As I mostly choose to photograph flowers that are dying, I have only had to wait a few days for them to be ready.  The b/w conversion is not as dramatic as I had hoped but still strong; colour version as an extra.

Long overdue conversation with my brother today - we are hoping to get together soon, although he lives in Suffolk so it's not easy; maybe we'll take the motorhome that way for a bit more of a coastal 'experience and catch two birds with one stone!
