Nearly ANZAC day & luv my new memorials

…growing up in Invercargill, Wanganui, Wellington, and now Wanaka, we never missed Dawn ceremonies celebrating our Anzacs. I love these handmade memorials advertised on the RSA website and the blurb that went with them. With mum having lost her only beloved brother in Italy World War II, dad having lost his revered Neurosurgeon eldest brother leading a boat of medics going out to North Africa that was torpedoed, and multiple other cousins on both sides being lost, along with dad being shot at in Crete when he was evacuated from the general hospital with hepatitis and he with the other inhabitants having to encircle German soldiers that wanted to be led safely up the mountains …certainly believe its still very important we remember them & sacrifices made
