Jeff - this is the goal. This is where you are supposed to put the ball. Don't just stand there looking wishfully at it .....

So we lost 2-0 against the Thames Estuary Galacticos (Sarfend) tonight which essentially seals our fate, and relegation beckons. If I'm honest, we were poor, and didn't look as if we had a goal in us if we had played all night long. Southend were equally poor, but caught us out with a goal out of nothing (another foul on our defender that was missed) and then a shocking decision to give a penalty that even had the Southend player (who wasn't tackled) laughing at the referees apalling decision

But it's not the end of the world. Away days at Woeking, Hereford, Stockport and Lincoln to look forward to next season - together with an offer of going to a Dumferline match that I collected tonight!

And there was 5 of us singing the legendary Slab Chant of "Oooh it's a corner" at one stage. Indeed the sympathy vote was out.
