It was an 8 o’clock start to guarantee a parking space at White Moss. I did the triangular route up through the woods where the bluebells grow and through the gate onto the fellside. Then diagonally downhill to the weir at Grasmere and back along the riverside to the start.

There were patches of bluebells so another week or two should see them at their best.
