Star Trek Flower

At the botanic gardens again (there's enough blip inspiration there to last me a while!), and saw these strange flowers. I'm not sure what they are - there was probably a sign somewhere, but I didn't see it (typical!).

I thought they were quite interesting.

I've darkened up the image to highlight the details, as they really are a most unusual flower.

There's all sort of strange things going on outside my house at the moment. There's work vehicles, and men in orange boiler suits doing things with cables and pipes. Not sure what it's all about.

Ooh now it sounds like they're cutting up the footpath. Yikes!
