Old Friends - Priceless

We started off the morning sharing breakfast at a restaurant overlooking Caroline Bay. Joan, one of these ladies turned 65 today. They come from Nelson and are travelling back today, breakfast celebrations sounded like a great idea.

A very poor quality photo, taken with my phone, in fact I can see the waitress reflected in the mirror.

This group of friends (a couple missing) go back to our high school days. Three of these ladies were my bridesmaids, and two of the blokes were Doug's groomsmen (do they still use this word). The third groomsman was from the absent couple.

Over the years we have taken overseas holidays, shared Easters and Christmas many times, hiking, boating and more recently biking adventures. Our children grew up as great mates too. When we met, which is often there is always laughter and fun.....we realise how lucky we are.

A lovely way to start the day - since then its been all down hill. Bloody computers, I will say no more!!! Lets just say I am very grumpy :(

Sorry, but have been absent from blip today - retirements is just so busy!! True story :)

Convention meeting tonight.
