End of the line

It has become a tradition that once in a while we cycle up to Pointe de Grave at the tip of the Gironde peninsula for lunch.
This shot is taken right at the end of the jetty with the town of Royan across the water.
The railway tracks are long defunct, but were originally constructed for the transportation of materials for the Atlantic sea defences.
