Chaffinch

Having had yet another too early waking I was out well before dawn to see if I could take some photos of the Essex countryside. Unfortunately the forecast partial cloud was a grey blanket, and bloody cold with it too, so I meandered back home by some favourite haunts. All my photos were so uninspiring (see extra) I went out again later where I managed to find this chaffinch on a stick.
