Impression of The Outwoods

The bluebells are at their peak but I didn't feel like risking the walk to the best displays in The Outwoods. This was taken from the car park using a Lens Baby Velvet 56 at widest aperture.

See the extra for a slightly more recognisable rendition.

Just after 8pm yesterday evening I noticed a commotion in the apple tree over the fence. I put it down to pigeons fighting, until, at 10 pm we let Basil out and he returned with a squab in his mouth. Looked as if a sparrowhawk had killed it

The hawk had pecked at the chest and left it. Some feathers out the back.

Basil was very pleased with himself. I assume he'd brought the pigeon back to show what a good boy he was.
