Rock

The ferry from Padstow to Rock  and back is a familiar sight in these parts. It crisscrosses the Camel Estuary dozens of times a day. Today when we went over to Rock we didn’t get very good value for money from our £3 fee because the tide was right out so the distance covered was very short. I felt we had practically walked across!
At a higher state of the tide when we went back it was much farther. You win some you lose some!
We took a crab sandwich from Padstow for our picnic on the beach and tonight we’re having a big fresh local sea bass.
