Waiting for friends

Another wet and miserable day but brightened by fact that I was to meet former work colleagues for a cup of coffee once they had finished. Having plenty leisure I was at the coffee shop first and took a book along with me to pass the time. I had seen this book in the morning and was intrigued by its theme that maths was more than just"sums!"

I managed to read the first two, short, chapters while waiting and I think I understood them.

It was good to meet up with old friends and exchange news- whose leaving, holiday adventures in Zambia and Italy.

So good that we have arranged to meet up again towards the end of May. Perhaps I will have read and understood the maths book by then.
