Gliding through the algae

A late morning visit to St Andrews Botanic Gardens. Plenty of green foliage and green algae. Mrs Moorhen was in her element as she found plenty of food for her three tiny chicks.

Two of the small ponds were totally dry so had no water to feed into the larger pond …… a good fall of rain is what’s needed.

The weather today was so good we enjoyed an ice cream in a waffle cone this afternoon but as usual my ice cream started to melt before I’d finished and I ended up with two very sticky hands.
