Wain Stones

We were two groups on Bleaklow; aiming to see the wreckage of the B29 ‘Overexposed’. We had a poignant moment thinking of those who’d been in it in 1948.

It was a beautiful sunny day, approx 8C, better than forecast and there were several clusters of rocks to discover along the way, including Wain Stones, as blipped, like a couple kissing.

Chris & I lead 6 guides who did really well. They were very speedy walkers and got the hang of using a compass very quickly
